Why Kansas Whitetail Deer Hunting at It's Best?

Our Food Plots:

The purpose of a food plot is to provide high quality protein throughout as much of the year as possible. At North Central Kansas Guide Service, we found plant selection balances the maturation timing of the protein produced, thereby creating a food plot that performs well all year. With this goal, we selected alfalfa, numerous clovers, rape, milo and natural CRP grasses along with a couple of "Brian's secret seeds" to help us produce high scoring bucks. Brian sometimes thinks he is Jack from "Jack in the Beanstalk." Little wonder that we draw the big whitetail deer trophy bucks in from all over.

Minerals:

Minerals play a critical part in antler whitetail deer growth and development. During the spring and summer, Kansas whitetail deer antler growth occurs rapidly and a complicated process of hormone release and changes in the deer's body, enable the rapid transfer of nutrients and minerals to the growing antlers. Livestock minerals just won't do a good job because the animals and their individual needs are radically different.

Because of this, we utilize a custom blend of minerals specifically designed for us by a team of nutrition specialists. Additionally, Brian went to a Kansas salt mine and went two miles underground just to get some large chunks of salt. He then imbedded these in the ground to create a natural salt lick. These Kansas whitetail deer love it! Ain't no 'store bought' stuff for our big boys.

Call it overkill, but we keep the feeders full year round. Brian never ceases to amaze us with his creative ways to draw and produce big whitetail bucks! Just another reason to hunt with North Central Kansas Guide Service.
